She began her legal career in 2007 as an injury lawyer for Schweickert & Ganassin– before Schweickert & Ganassin became Schweickert Ganassin Krzak Rundio, LLP. She next defended employers in workers’ compensation cases before serving six years as an Arbitrator for the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission.
In 2022, she returned to Schweickert Ganassin Krzak Rundio, LLP and joined our team of experienced personal injury and workers’ compensation lawyers to represent work injury victims and their families. Melinda’s extensive experience in representing the employer’s side and knowledge of how the “other side” defends workers’ compensation cases gives her injured worker clients an edge. Tying that experience in with the knowledge and perspective she gained in her six years of service as a former Arbitrator for the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission gives her work injury clients an advantage. Her in depth knowledge of the claims process and unique perspective as a former Arbitrator allow her to skillfully navigate the issues that arise in workers’ compensation cases and help her to obtain full compensation for her injured clients.
Schweickert Ganassin Krzak Rundio, LLP is proud to call Melinda a trusted member of the team.
